Woodlands 6 is another painting in my series looking at English woodlands. It depicts a forest glade with the light shining in from behind.
I have used a restricted palette on this one, to give a serene feel to it. The colours are soft and almost monochrome. There is a subtle warmth from tones of peach and burgundy.
The painting is done in acrylics, on a lightly textured background. This adds drama and visual interest to the paint work.
It is a medium sized painting, on canvas. It can be hung exactly as it is, or maybe you might want to add a simple floater frame, probably in white. Either way it makes a statement, especially in today's trends for rooms to be shades of white and grey.
It comes ready to hang.
