THIS HAS SOLD ON ART2ARTS GALLERY.
Woodlands 1 is a detailed study of an area of woodland. It is based on a photo I took in Croatia, when I was on holiday there, a couple of months ago.
It is painted in acrylic but some detail is added with black pen , to give definition to the work. It is realistic, to a point, but painted in a stylized, dotty impressionistic way. The main colours are slightly enhanced to give a textured feel to the surface.
It comes complete with an ivory mount and backboard. It takes a standard 16 x 20 inch frame which can be easily bought ready made in many places. I have shown it in a black frame as this suits the painting. The size quoted includes the mount.
