"Woodland Blues" captures the lovely woods near my home in the Peak District in Summer when there are carpets of bluebells filling the forest. Sunlight filters through the leafy glade merging with blue flowers and grasses dappling the forest floor. An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on deep edged canvas. The edges are painted white, a frame is not needed and it is ready to hang. I use impasto techniques applied with a palette knife in multi layers, which creates an impressionistic effect and if you look closely you can see the first layers applied in places.
