Original artwork description:

I have used the technique of sandblasting the glass in the frame to create a branch pattern window to look through to the photograph behind. The photo was taken locally in the Highlands where I live and I enjoy the way this piece has the vertical and horizontal lines running through it. The contrast between the matt of etched glass and transparency, mirrors the light and shade within a forest.

Materials used:

Sandblasted glass and original photograph
