Original artwork description:

Mensa has an intense sense of coloring and this vibrancy adds a great deal to the paintings he produces. Asked how creates his images, he replied “I create to portray how I see nature and to exhibit the artistic qualities in me” Mensa produces works that are easily identifiable not merely through his own style but his subjects as well. The characters he portrays, the stories he tells, are all part of one very elaborate narrative.

He started as a member of the Ghana National Cultural Center where he lodged most of his paintings while exhibiting at other events in Ghana and the overworld. This he did use his African cultural knowledge and his painting skill to create highly expressive paintings. His works of art are held in private and public buildings all over Africa, the USA, and Europe.
