Painting in contemporary figurative style dedicated to Marietta Piccolomini (Siena 1834 - Florence 1899), soprano and great interpreter of opera music in the Italian Risorgimento, of whom I have created a portrait "almost" imaginary, since there are period photos that depict her, but with poor definition. She was a prominent figure in an important historical period for Italy, from 1850 to 1860, the decade that preceded and saw the definition of national unification. The path will also be marked by Marietta Piccolomini who, thanks to the great visibility acquired, was able to become an ideal ambassador of Italy by committing herself directly, offering among other things the proceeds of her concerts for the common cause.
