Original artwork description:

Thoughts about menstruation and femininity taboos.

Part of the collection “pleasure is not allowed”.

In my dreams, subconscious images emerge repeatedly, revolving around a common axis, the oppression of female sexuality. These images, whose meaning was initially hidden from me, were interpreted through the process of psychoanalysis and took their place as personal symbols in my visual vocabulary. For example, the shark is an authority which forbids the expression of sexual desire. Cherries, on the other hand, which appear often in my artwork, are the desire itself, an object also included in other personal stories.

Materials used:

Ballpoint pen
