One of a trilogy of colour studies. The subject is a woman, standing in side profile, naked except for a hat adorned with flowers. Colour is central to these works. Andy Warhol famously played with colour through his Monroe prints. I am interested in the relationship between the use of colour and our idea of mood. Painted on a fine textured, professionally stretched linen canvas, using Old Holland and Michael Harding artist's quality oils and mediums and finished with a light satin varnish.
