Woman gazing at, or imagining, her lover's profile.
From his lips emanate the leaves and flowers with which her face is surrounded.

The painting is on Japanese paper mounted onto canvas, so there is about 2.5cm of canvas all around, over which I've extended the painting. This is visible in one of the photographs.

It is painted in rich blues and creamy white with Burnt Sienna highlights, painted in flowing brushstrokes.
I've used Winsor & Newton professional acrylics and coated the finished piece with a semi-gloss varnish.

One of the photographs shows the painting hanging in a room in my house.

As the image is painted around the edge of the canvas so there is no need for a frame.
Ready to hang with little hangers on the reverse (not shown in the photographs).
