Original artwork description:

This is one of a series of small oil sketches of nudes, done with rapid brushstrokes to give a feeling of immediacy. I have a particular interest in the difference of skin tones, from the luminosity of a redhead to the richness of an olive skin.

The sketches depict intimate moments in life - a woman pre-occupied with her thoughts, a woman drying her hair after a bath. The paintings are very small 7 x 8" and have an intimacy, a sense of the viewer happening on a private moment, but without intruding.

They are small enough to hang by a bedside, in a narrow space, or include in a selection of other paintings.
