Painted on a bright September morning, this small oil was the start of something very important to me.
In 2016 I went on a sabbatical from my job at the local school to pursue my art career. Inspired by Paul Nash and Claude Monet, and in order to give me focus, I decided to work on a series of paintings of Wittenham Clumps.
My aim was to paint from the same point every month to show various changes in the seasons.
This was the first in the series.
I hope you like it.
