About this work by the artist:

Rocks collected from coastline walks are placed within slight touching distance of each other and they are all the same in terms of appearance ie. colour but they are each different in shape.

One rock looks different and occupies the outer fringes and simply does not fit in.

This is how the artist feels as he navigates through life, never quite fitting in and always feeling like the outsider.

The work however, is a celebration.

Sometimes, it’s easy to feel like there is something wrong with you when you come to realise that you don’t quite fit into life’s pigeonhole groupings. Perhaps you realise you are a square peg that’s been trying for a long time to fit into a round hole without seeing the shape of that hole.

The moment you realise is a case for celebration.
