I had yet again tried an abstract and in my eyes failed miserably. My mind just does not let go, it is my life long struggle. I am envious of those who can set down and paint a masterpiece of an abstract, full of meaning and depth. When mine simple resemble a muddy mess. This canvas was one such piece, a muddy mess.

It sat in my painting closet for a month or more. Until just the other day when I found myself with a palette full of leftover paint. Never one to waste paint I decided to have a little fun. Since I have been working on a commission that has a rabbit in it, it only seemed logical to paint a rabbit. This little guy just seemed to flow from my brush. He sat there looking at me as if to say, "It is okay to not be perfect at everything. Embrace the gifts you are given and just let the rest go."

Life is about letting go. Life is about holding on tightly. This, my dear, is your journey.

Within a Hare is 16 x 20 inches on canvas board. It is signed on the front and signed and dated on the back. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
