Depicting the fluidity and grace of free diving - navigating the underwater realm illuminated by a dance of sunlight and shadows to find solace in the beauty of unseen depths.
The 'Free-spirited Swimmers' Series are all Cyanotype Photograms. Using different textures, coloured filters and hand drawn images I create a handmade, actual size negative or contact sheet, which is then used to produce the cyanotype image. This means each image can be reproduced. BUT whilst some may look similar the variable nature of cyanotype means that no two can ever be exactly the same, making each one totally unique and an original.
