WISTFUL 2 is one of a series that I am working on depicting females in various poses and showing a variety of expressions. From Di Vinci’s Mona Lisa to Warhol’s Marilyn, more works of art have focused on the female than any other subject, and for good reason. Wistful is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art and no authorized copies will ever be made. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
I work exclusively on 4 mil architectural drafting mylar with India ink and acrylic paint; the acrylic for the background work and the India ink for details. With this particular piece, I have put large areas of background color on the reverse side of the painting with more detailed work on the front.
All of my artwork has a clear protective coating applied so that it is not necessary nor desirable to put it behind glass.
This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on ½ inch thick foamboard with a two inch border all around. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
