Framed original oil on panel. 9x5.75 inches image size and 11x14.5 inches framed size.
Based on my Scottish sketchbook studies -this time of a little wood in a meadow that belonged to a friend. I liked the small saplings growing here and there, wherever they could get a growing space in this boggy meadow. The blue beyond is a suggestion of the tree clad hillside rising at the back. Although this study was made one Easter in april, snowy showers persisted all day so it felt more like a return to winter weather.
The painting is framed in a tray style wood frame painted a soft creamy white. It is ready to hang.
