Original artwork description:
Most of Valentines Day was cloudy here - but around 3 pm, the clouds cleared and the sun came out - not just a little, but full blue sky. So we stopped everything (we had been installing post jacks in the basement) grabbed the camera and a sketch book and headed for a nearby preserve. It was miraculously beautiful . The saturation of the colors were unexpected. I didn't think that I had time to get all of my paainting gear together - I was afraid that we would miss the light! So I did a series of sketches and took lots of photos. This one is based mostly on my memories of the colors - the photos are not a saturated as I remember the day being.
