I love to paint trees and currently the low Winter sun against the dark, silhouetted trunks of the trees looks great and has to be painted. I like to play around with ideas and often that mean I start with a smaller canvas or two to try things out. This is one of those little paintings and has tones of warm yellow and orange with darker mauve/umber tree trunks, there is a little smattering of bright gold to suggest some of the markings on the trees.
This is a small canvas but it still has impact!
The painting continues around the sides, it is ready to hang or prop up on a shelf and needs no frame or can be framed if preferred.
