This painting was created from my car in the winter. I began the year committed to painting plein air daily, rain or shine. I often worked from my car with small panels in order to reasonably accomplish this goal. Plein air sensitizes me to real colors in real atmosphere. The warm bark against the mossy limbs and green grass brought color to our drab days winter days in the Pacific NW.
