Original artwork description:
A favourite view of mine in Fife, this time in the winter. It is the shortest day of the year, in the bleak of mid winter. But soon the days will slowly begin to lengthen, filled with light. I am fond of the lonely grouping of trees and have painted it several times, and will probably paint more of the view. It has an emotional resonance. I like to find places like this. I like winter light too.
The medium I have used is oil paint on prepared board.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
