A little robin, bare trees and a chilly turquoise sky, some of things I love about winter. Every year, as each new season comes into being, I feel excited and swear it's my favourite time of year. There is something about winter though, that has the edge. The bare branches of trees soaring and swaying, cold, low light, blue and grey. I love the sombre colours where anything bright leaps out and brings joy. A robin frequents our garden year round but I especially appreciate it's cheerful presence in the wintertime.

'Winter Robin' is a small oil on board. The painting measures 17 cm x 12 cm approx. It comes in a white hand cut mount which measures approx.30 cm x 21 cm and fits an off the shelf frame. Please note that the mount is home made by myself. I am not a professional framer so the mount is as seen.
