A lovely Winter scene of the snow covered view across the valley, woods and hills in Montgomeryshire, Wales, with a few snow covered hawthorn and pollarded willow to the foreground. Painted in muted shades of mauve and subtle turquoise and white, with touches of a warm orange underpainting showing through here and there. Painted on a decorative box canvas where the painting continues around the sides for a contemporary look, the true size of the width of this painting is 15" to include the sides :)
This painting was based on a view taken from a photograph taken by a friend of the beauiful Montgomeryshire countryside and I have permission to use it by the photographer. I love to see the snow, but I am afraid I'm not hardy enough to sit in it and paint!!
Painted on a deep edged Loxley Gold canvas ready to hang, no need to frame.
