The winter of 2021 seeded to drag on, and at its end there seemed a period when nothing dried out, and where ever you went there was mud, mud and more mud.
The ploughed field here was left with standing puddles created in the wake of a tracker passage. I tried to show these marks so that its way across the field could clearly be seen.
This time of year also throws up interesting skies. I like this painting for its starkness but mitigated by the tire marks going across the field.
You can also see flecks of chalk in the mud, which is typical of the Chiltern area.
