I love these isolated copses that you come across in the rural landscape. I like the contrast of the vertical trees and horizontal fields. I like winter colours too, so I wanted to convey my feelings about this snowy wintry scene, using greys and blues mainly. I've simplified what I saw into a few simple shapes : sky, trees, sea, fields. I had to try to find a way to show the dark soil breaking through the covering of snow, without getting to tied up in it. Hopefully the overall image works, giving a quick impression of this wintry scene..
