Autumn and winter a time of reflection and hibernation. Animals and plants retract, getting ready for the colder month. The landscape around us changes slowly into earthy colours with vibrant dots of rusty, red and ochre. A rainy day full of mist, fog and wind, sometimes a slushy snow mix.
In this series of paintings I have tried to capture the essence of autumn and winter, letting the paint dry in layers and leaving hints of natural shapes in the landscape.

Painted with oil on board with a wooden deep edge and ready to hang on the wall. The panels are hand made, painted white and can have imperfections to the edge/border but nothing that should prevent you from hanging it as is. You can also frame the painting should you wish to.
