Painted with permission from 'Walking with a camera' and inspired by one of his beautiful photographs of the Lake District.
This is painted on hand stretched Belgium linen in layers of glazed and impasto, textured oil paint. The sides are painted grey so that it could be framed or hung as it is.
I've tried to capture the feeling of depth in the landscape, bathed in a soft evening light. It's rough texture reflects the nature of the rugged landscape.
