Artwork description:

The monochromatic trees, waiting for winter to give and spring to return.
I have added the sun and the moon, for that mid century look that I just love.

This is a monoprint, that is, there is only one looking like this, and I have used my rollers and ink in a very painterly way, creating shifts in color and using tones that are very calm. The piece of lino are all separate and ink them up, and assemble them on my printmaking press before taking the paper through the press, transferring the ink to the paper. Once the ink is dry I have worked the whole print with colored pencil to add little areas of brighter color, to represent spring returning.
The piece of white heavy weight printmaking paper measures 50 cm x 70 cm
(20" x 27") with just enough paper around to frame it.
I have signed the print and numbered it 1/1.
