Artwork description:

An exceptionally large sage green and teal blue abstract seascape canvas from Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris in the Scottish Highlands. The soft muted tones in this artwork makes it so peaceful and calming. Walking the beach on a day of clouds and soft blowing grasses and sand, I felt the peace of this location. With no one else on the beach other than a few birds wheeling in the Sky, I felt all my worries blow away into nothing.

Themes: Beach, moody skies, blowing grasses, muted colours, clouds
Colours: sage green, teal, beige, grey, pale gray, green, blue, charcoal grey

Printed on beautiful fine art canvas that is guaranteed not to fade for over a hundred years. Print size 60 x 60 inches including a white border for handling and stretching over the wooden frame.

Also available as a canvas print on request.

My work is all about the emotional connection we have to a place and the moment in our memory when we felt such intense pleasure looking at a landscape. I am driven to capture the essence of a place with my camera, working mainly with the colours and shapes I see when I half close my eyes. I travel to remote islands, to places steeped in history, unspoilt beaches and wild rocky coastlines where I love to work in quiet solitude.

This listing is for the paper version of the print, this would be ideal for dry mounting or float framing. It is an great size for a room with a high ceiling yet it does not over power as it is in soft neutral tones.

Materials used:

Exquisite Fine Art Canvas and Non Fade Inks - Museum Quality
