Woman dreaming in starlight, from my 'The Way you Make Me Feel' series of artworks.
Her arms are raised; she is captivated by these little stars but her toes are dipping into the water where starlight is reflected ... Head in hHeaven, Feet on Earth.

This painting was inspired by sunlight falling on my little Roman lady, a tiny reproduction sculpture that I keep by my garden door. The afternoon sun caught her crystals "wings" and it was like tiny stars surrounding her. She was a gift from my husband, from the British Museum. Her arms and legs are sadly broken but she lies on sandstone with Pale Amethyst crystals suggesting glittering wings.

Drawn in graphite and painted in white watercolour on deep grey handmade paper. There are a few very subtle rainbow colours on her body ... a little red, orange, green,, blue and turquoise to suggest the Chakra colours.
This is a medium weight 210gsm cotton paper made in India.
Size is 11.5 x 16.5 inches.

Some photographs show the painting in progress (I painted it in my garden), as well as in my hallway and sitting room. The tiny Roman lady is also shown in two photographs, numbers 11 and 12, just before the Room View photographs.
