Gold base with layers of glazes to build clouds in soft pastels. The painting is about new beginnings and the effect this has on our state of mind as we begin to move into our destiny. It's representative of my personal move away from being goal-driven and becoming more connected to my inner self and I hope that this might resonate with others. The gold is the ideal self we are becoming. Actualisation is about closing the gap between the real and ideal self.
