This beautiful marble sculpture is a true masterpiece, the result of over 2.5 years of dedicated work and attention to detail. Inspired by the artist's earlier alabaster piece "entwined," this larger marble version features a single ribbon of marble that twists and turns upon itself, coming close but never quite touching. Carving this piece was a challenging process, requiring a mix of traditional stone carving tools and custom-made, hand-built instruments. This sculpture is a true labor of love, the original block weighing in at over 500 lbs which was carved down to the current weight of 52lbs and requiring 8 levels of hand sanding to achieve its stunning finish. Please note that packaging may take 2-3 weeks as a custom crate will be built to ensure the safe delivery of this one-of-a-kind work of art.
