Original artwork description:

The Derwent Prize for Drawing is coming up again and it inspired me to post this drawing in all-graphite pencil of a little stream that comes of the moors in Cornwall. An idyllic spot that hopefully won't be visited by too many people!
Drawing is such a versatile discipline in it's own right and there are so many techniques that work. Personally I gravitate towards cross-hatching. What do you think?

Materials used:

Farrel&Gold graphite pencils on 150 g Winsor&Newton smooth Lana paper; fixed with W&N fixative
