We are lucky enough to live right next to Portholme Meadow - the largest meadow in the UK. It is full of wild flowers from May to July - common Vetch, Buttercups, Poppies, Geraniums and many beautiful grasses. A tapestry of colour.
I walk there most days and have tried to capture the richness of the colours on a perfect Summers day.
The painting is on a very large canvas and is painted in a loose and impressionistic style.
