Original artwork description:

A summer painting of a wildflower meadow. The sixth one in my series looking at this natural beauty in the English landscape.

I have looked at the vibrancy of bright red poppies , as the main focus for this one. Contrasted with the soft white of cow parsley. All painted in a realistic and detailed style. The painting has been created with acrylic paint.

This square painting has been painted on board, and is supplied with a mount, ready for framing. Please note, the size quoted includes the mount. I have shown an image of how it could look framed, but I do not supply the frame, as I do not like to post glass. Also most buyers like to choose their own frame style.

I was very impressed and inspired by wildflower meadows on a recent holiday to Slovenia. Plus I had seen some fantastic ones in Switzerland a couple of years ago. I was utterly dismayed to learn that a huge 97% of natural wildflower meadows have been lost/destroyed/removed in the UK in the past 100 years. They are essential to pollinating insects. Therefore I am determined to help preserve them, and draw peoples attention to the beauty of them. So, as an artist, my first step is to paint them, and hope others appreciate how important they are in the environment....and how beautiful they are.
