This wonderful scene was captured at Cape Cornwall in Cornwall, which is Just a stone’s throw from the famous Lands End. Cape Cornwall, which is one of only two capes in the UK, is a small headland occupying the most westerly point in Cornwall. This refreshing artwork captures much of what makes Cornwall such an amazing place to visit.

Although these coastal waters are notoriously treacherous, you cannot help but admire its wild unspoiled beauty. Illuminated by the early morning sunshine, this artwork nicely highlights the raw power of the sea thundering along the magnificent Cornish coastline. The inspiration for my art comes from my inner desire to capture the natural beauty of a specific scene which if missed at that time, could be gone forever.

I use a process whereby the photograph is applied to canvas using the latest archive grade ink technology, to make sure the artwork remains lightfast (fade free) for generations. In addition to these specialists pigment inks a protective satin finish varnish is also applied which provides extra protection against harmful environmental pollutants.

I find canvas, aside from being extremely tough, provides the best texture and depth whilst the specialist pigment inks and varnish deliver wonderfully vibrant colours.

Materials used: High grade canvas; Epson archive pigment inks; Specialist acrylic varnish.

This artwork comes complete with a wooden frame and is delivered ready to hang. There are several framing options available that fall into four main categories.

Gallery Wrapped: This method uses a 38mm chunky pine wood stretcher frame and comes ready to hang. The stretcher frame is hidden from view as it sits behind the canvas artwork.

Traditional Wooden Frame: With this method the gallery wrapped canvas is inserted into either a traditional style picture frame (frame choice is yours). This option provides the best of both in that you have the beauty and longevity of art on canvas, inserted into a traditional style wooden frame of your choice. Please Note: Although the artwork size is 24” x 16” (60.96mm x 40.64mm); your frame choice will determine the artwork’s total outer dimensions. Please consider this when identifying your hanging space.

Glazed Wooden Frame and Mount. This option allows the canvas artwork to be displayed with an off- white mount and glazed frame (frame choice is yours). The frame comes complete with 2mm premium quality acrylic glazing that offers high light transmission and UV protection. Please Note: Although the artwork size is 24” x 16” (60.96mm x 40.64mm); your frame choice will determine the artwork’s total outer dimensions. Please consider this when identifying your hanging space. On average, the mount and frame will extend the artwork size by 110mm on each side.

No Frame: This option is where the artwork is supplied in roll form only; allowing the customer to frame it themselves.
