Impressionist plein air oil landscape of red poppies and lavender in front of a gardening shed.

I believe this painting expressively emotes the exuberance I felt as I painted. Standing in the protective shade, I danced my heart away as laid in the colorful scene before me. The heavenly scent of lavender, and the humming of the bees kept me very much immersed in the moment.

This was my first year participating in the Oregon Lavender Festival. Famers from all over Oregon opened their fields in full lavender bloom to painters. It was an experience of sheer bliss that I will never forget! This painting will bring the joy and energy of a hot summer day to any decor. ~Tali
