Wild Cherry Drop
This unique vessel with the serial number 1091 is part of a series of drops made from wild cherry wood. It consists of four parts that are freely formed and not made on a lathe. The base is a fired and sealed base made of sequoia, which can also be removed or replaced. The half, bowl-shaped drop is attached to it. The lid adapts to the grain on the upper edge. The tip of the lid is made from sheep's horn and serves as a handle. The surface is treated with hard wax oil and is therefore water-repellent. The grain and the warm colors of the cherry wood stand out. The interior is untreated. It is a natural product. Small cracks or inclusions are part of it and give the object its harmonious character. The weight is 2130 grams, a certificate is included with the shipment. The signet roko (Roland Köpfer) is carved. One picture shows the drop series in its raw state, the other two are not included in delivery and can be offered on request.
