“The metaphor of having three different versions of the self driving in a car on a long road trip; Manic/Fast Simon, Low Simon, Normal Simon - they’re all friends and talk with each other, taking turns to drive.”
Greens, purples and blues layered over each other in horizontal lines.
The title is a line from the diary on that day and is part of the artist’s ongoing practice, where he intuitively paints for a few hours each day, allowing for his mood and perception to influence the work.
