I love long stomps across deserted beaches and this lighthouse was discovered on one such walk in North Gower.
An unusual structure that is made from cast iron and stopped being operational in the 1920’s, it can only be reached for an hour each side of low tide. You can see from the watery reflections that the sea was reclaiming the base while I was sketching and taking photos for this piece!
Drawn in coloured pencil on Bristol board paper with acrylic ink used for the outlining and highlights.
Sold mounted in an white mount but not framed, the mount measures 42 x 29.5cm /approximately 16.5 x 11.5 inches (A3)
Signed and dated on the mount, the reverse of the image and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
