Contemporary seascape study of Whitehaven beach Cumbria, UK.

❦ Subject inspiration:
• An impressionistic representation of beach waves crashing into shallow rock formations and filling of rock pools with sea water when the tide comes in. As a plein air painter I am intruiged by this interplay between clouds and sea waves and wish to convey light and shadow abstract patterns with an almost violet sea.
