Original artwork description:

Today’s bird is the awe inspiring white-tailed eagle, a bird which I first read about in Isabella Tree’s beautiful book ‘Wilding’. The eagles, which had been hunted to extinction in Britain during the 20th century had been reintroduced to the Isle of Mull in 1985. The successful reintroduction benefitted not only the huge birds of prey, but those living on the island, they ‘ bring an estimated £5 million pounds a year into the island economy and support 110 full-time jobs.’
