SOLD; White sails was inspired by my memories of, and many reference photos of, the Cowes, Isle of Wight yacht race. The blue of the sky and sea is a little fantastical but affords for a stunning piece of art. This piece has been created using heavy body acrylics and has been applied to the canvas using a combination of palette knife and brush work.
The painting is ready to hang with the deep edge sides of the canvas painted black, this creates a strong and natural frame to the painting. Such canvases can of course be set within a box frame and do you fabulous like this should the buyer choose to do this upon receipt of the purchased painting.
