Impasto flower oil painting, palette knife technique. This is my favorite technique to paint flowers, specially when it's about the character and the energy of having living flowers at your place. Palette knife gives me rich and thick effects which makes a dramatic sense in my painting. This painting is on MDF board which has been custom sealed and primed by myself. I love to paint flowers on MDF boards because of its smooth and soft surface which keeps the beauty and delicacy of the subject more than most other bases. Varnished.
