Original artwork description:

Majestic white Rooster! This is a collage made on a base of French vintage linen in a natural colour. The Rooster has been made by painstakingly cutting all the little individual "feathers" and attaching them one by one. They overlap so that it really gives the idea of feathers. I used a white fleece fabric to create the feathers. On the Roosters chest, I have incorporated some contrasting colours and patterned fabrics to make the plumage more life like than just a solid white and to also tie in with the tail feathers. The head and it's details have been made of different coloured cotton fabrics. I have machine embroidered around all the details of the head and also his leg and the little leafy details that he is standing in.
The collage is ready to hang as I have made a channel at the top for a dowl or decorative curtain pole to slide through.
I have embroidered my signature on the front of the collage and it comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
You can see the white Rooster hanging together with his friend, the black Rooster in one of the photos!

Materials used:

Vintage linen, cotton fabrics, woolen fabric, copydex, machine embroidery
