This minimalistic still life was inspired by the painting by the Russian artist of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries Mikhail Vrubel "A Rose in a Glass".
In my work, I really like to return to the beautiful expression of Vrubel, that at the heart of all beauty is "A form that is created by nature forever. She is the carrier of the soul, which will open to you alone and tell you yours. This means that it is not I who interpret nature, but nature explains, explains to me – me. Thus, nature is personalized, turns into an animated interlocutor.”
The peony in the drawing lives and tells us its story as if it is talking about something very intimate and trembling.
