Original artwork description:

Hi, This painting is an exploration of colour and form using a limited palette of earthy yellows and white. I have varied the sharpness and intensity of colour to create contrast and drama taking the technique back to the basics of impasto and scumbling.
The inspiration for this painting came from walking through a corn field on a very hot July day. Looking towards the sun and horizon, you get an almost narcotic feeling. I will be trying to capture this mood in future canvases,
enjoy xx
