This painting is one of my Kimono series. It was inspired by a red Kimono brought back from China - which was a present to me. I loved the beautiful intense red which went beautifully as a backcloth for the white lilies and I couldn't wait to draw it. I used pastels as their pure colour seemed the best medium for this work. I set up the still life in my studio and positioned the Lilies in front of the chair. This artwork is framed and shipped in a crate so the shipping price reflects this. This artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity
