Original artwork description:
Painted on-site in Minneapolis, MN. Features a spring flowering crabapple tree with white blossoms and mint green and sage green foliage. Painted with both palette knife and brush on board. The texture of the blossoms is enhanced by thickly applied oil paint. The soft, matte texture and granulating effects in the grass and sky were created with casein paint. The red-pink wash softly suggests other spring blossoms in the surrounding area. The white crabapple is also accented by smaller green trees and shrubs, and the branches of a taller tree behind it. Framed in a 2.5" wide wood framed with a dark brown finish and antique gold molding. May be purchased unframed by request.
