"Where Your Secrets Come to Dance" is an amazingly creative and spontaneous abstract, painted with acrylic on a 40 x 30 x 1.5 inch gallery-wrapped canvas, ready to hang. An exhibition favorite from the time Hunter painted it in 2015, Secrets serves as a prime example of Hunter's fascinating Excavation Series. Conserved in Hunter’s private collection ever since, this painting digs deep as artifact, bold and elegant abstract, intriguing legend and living history. It’s a large vertical painting full of surprising forms and would be inviting (and impressive) anywhere you place it. Like other paintings in his Excavation Series, Where Your Secrets Come to Dance features the texture derived from multiple layers of storytelling. This image is its concluding chapter.
