Many moons ago there was a fair maiden and a handsome prince who were deeply in love. One day they wandered aimlessly into the forest where an old witch lived in solitude. The witch was jealous of their love and cast a spell which transformed the maiden into a river and the prince into a mountain. However, their love for each other never waned and now and forever the water flows to the mountain in tears of joy.
